Born in the Underdark city of Ched Nasad, to a small and low-ranking noble house, Sharolin had a more pleasant childhood than most drow children. That all changed the day Ched Nasad was firebombed. Alone among her family, only Sharolin and her older brother Veszt survived the city's fall. They wandered the Underdark for a time, until they found the Promenade of the Dark Maiden, a religious community dedicated to the goddess Eilistraee underneath the city of Waterdeep. Promising he'd come back when she was an adult, Veszt left Sharolin at the Promenade and headed to Menzoberranzan in order to join Bregan D'aerthe as a mercenary. Six years later, the Promenade was destroyed--though Sharolin and the other novices and children managed to evacuate on time. They then spent the next century or so living in in a natural cave system in the woods outside Amphail, until news of the Dark Dancer appearing on the city walls of Waterdeep brought their group back. By then, Sharolin had adopted one of the other priestesses, Erithalia, as her surrogate sister. The spring after Sharolin came to Waterdeep, she and Erithalia were with the adventuring party they'd fallen in with, when they were hired by Volo for a very significant missing person's case... |

Sharolin is a generally friendly and helpful Twilight Domain Cleric of Eilistraee, the drow goddess of art, music, moonlight, and saving yourself so you can go back and save others. She is a lot more clever than she seems, loves reading and writing copper dreadfuls, and loses her heart so damn easily. She can also carry one hell of a grudge. |
